This classroom-based course focuses on NEC code sections that require specific field-applied marking or labeling by the electrician, as well as special product markings mandated by the NEC. The course explains where and when these markings are required, what information must be included, and why proper labeling is critical for code compliance, safety, and future maintenance. By reviewing common examples and frequently overlooked requirements, electricians will gain a clearer understanding of their responsibilities in the field and learn how proper marking and labeling help inspectors, service personnel, and building owners identify electrical systems correctly and safely.
