Code Change Summary: The illustrations were revised in section 514.3.

Updates were made to figure 514.3 and new figure 514.3(B) was added in the 2014 NEC®.

The revised figure 514.3 clearly shows that he area classification stops at the top of the dispenser and any architectural features on top of the dispenser are NOT within the hazardous location (see ELR image).

New figure 514.3(B) shows the typical above ground fuel storage tank with dispenser and makes it clear (in the side view) that the area directly above the dispenser, including the actual top of the dispenser is unclassified.
