Oregon has heavily amended the code language below regarding AFCI protection:

OESC 210.12(B) Dormitory Units. All 120-volt, single-phase, 10-, 15-, and 20- ampere branch circuits supplying outlets or devices installed in the following locations shall be protected by any of the means described in 210.12(A)(1) through (7) (6).

Items (1) through (4) remain unchanged.

(5) Bathrooms Not adopted by the State of Oregon

(6) Similar rooms Not adopted by the State of Oregon

(7) Study areas
