The purpose of this 2023 4-credit-hour live in-person electrical continuing education class is to give the qualified individual a better understanding of electrical inspection and installation requirements in relation to the National Electric Code.|
This class covers working space about electrical equipment and common transformer installations.
Upon completion of the first portion of the class, the qualified individual will have a better understanding of the rules pertaining to working space about electrical equipment mentioned in NEC Article 110. This includes the following: Workspace depth per NEC Table 110.26(A)(1), Workspace width, Workspace height, Clear space, Entrance to and egress from the working space, Large equipment and number of exits, Personnel doors for electric rooms, Dedicated equipment space indoors.
Upon completion of the next portion of the class, the qualified individual will have a better understanding of the rules pertaining to NEC Articles 450, 408 and 250 in relation to transformers including: Protecting both sides of a transformer according to Tables 450.3(A) & (B), Verifying size of transformer primary and secondary conductors for code compliance, Transformer ventilation and installation requirements, Transformer grounding and Bonding.
Care has been taken to select the most relevant code content that is critical for those who install or inspect safe and Code compliant electrical installations. Course will provide the opportunity for all attendees to network with industry partners, inspectors, designers, electrical contractors and the like.
