NFPA 731 Section 4.12.3 is all about proper training of the security system users. Training the security system users is critical to ensure the premises is thoroughly protected. The burden of training the personnel on the new security system lies with the security system owner.

4.12.3.2 The service provider shall provide this training.

4.12.3.3 User training shall be documented.

4.12.3.3.1 Training documentation shall be maintained for 1 year as part of the system documentation.

4.12.3.3.2 Training documentation shall be provided, when requested, to the AHJ.
